An Otterly Good Time

From Yosemite we reached the west coast at Monterey, California! This is home to an awesome aquarium and was our home for a little over a year. We arrived on Valentine's day too!

We had to stop by Compagno's Deli for lunch though, they have the best sandwiches. We had a nice picnic on the dunes above the beach.

From there we headed to Cannery Row and the Fisherman's Wharf. On Cannery Row we found the bestest ice cream, Nico's! On the wharf we found a bunch of seagulls trying to steal the sea lions' meal!

Monterey is a great place to bike, so we headed to the Aquarium in style.

On the way we found more sea lions sunning on some rocks!

The Aquarium was incredible. We have probably 200 pictures, but here's a sample of what we saw:

After that we headed to the Dust Bowl Brewing Co. and met a bunch of friends that told us we had to make it to the Sandbar & Grill.

The next sunny day we went to Lover's Point along the shore for a nice beach day. The squirells were acting crazy!

Monterey is just as lovely as we remember over a decade ago! From here, we figured out how to continue going west, to visit Cory's brother in Hawaii!
